PRACTICAL NURSE REFRESHER COURSE

The Practical Nurse Refresher Course will be offered from May 10 through July 19, 2011. Theory classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with clinical schedule to be determined. An informational meeting for all interested will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011, at 4:00 pm at St. Joseph Academic Center.

St. Joseph School of Nursing Practical Nurse Refresher Course is offered to meet the needs of LPN's who have not been active in practice for a maximum of seven years. The curriculum is a total of 148 hours of theory and clinical experience.

In order to apply you must:

1. Complete an application with the $50 non-refundable fee.

2. Submit three (3) personal evaluation forms.

REFRESHER COURSE PERSONAL EVALUATION FORM

Once accepted you will need to:

1. Obtain a temporary New Hampshire practical nursing license through the New Hampshire Board of Nursing

2. Submit current medical and immunization records

3. Submit a copy of your current professional rescuer CPR certification

4. Complete the Criminal History Background Check form with $25 fee

5. Submit proof of legal residency in United States (birth certificate, passport, current alien registration card)

This course is subject to adequate enrollment. All applications with fee must be submitted by February 12, 2010 so that we can determine whether or not our minimum enrollment has been met. Should there not be enough interest in the course this year we will postpone it until Spring 2011.
