All ESL applicants born outside the United States who apply for admission (other than to the Nursing Assistant course) must take and pass The TOEFL ® Test - Test of English as a Foreign Language™ with a minimum score of 20 in both Speaking and Listening, 17 in Writing, 16 in Reading, and 73 overall. All test scores must be submitted to the Director, Academic Affairs, St. Joseph School of Nursing. The School of Nursing TOEFL code number is 1677. Applicants with scores below the minimum required may be referred to other academic institutions for evaluation of language skills proficiency and follow up recommendations. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In order
to be eligible one must also possess good physical and mental health and have
the ability to see, hear, touch, smell and distinguish colors; have oral and
writing ability with accuracy, clarity and efficiency; possess manual dexterity,
gross and fine movements; have the ability to learn, think critically,
analyze, assess, solve problems, and reach judgment; possess emotional
stability and ability to accept responsibility and accountability. TUITION & FEES
Please remember to bring
your photo ID to the pre-entrance exam. LPN REFRESHER COURSE Nurses
who have not practiced the required 400 hours within the previous four years
prior to application for renewal, endorsement, or reinstatement are eligible
to apply for the refresher course. Upon conditional acceptance,
applicants must obtain temporary licensure through the New Hampshire Board of
Nursing (based on an application for a permanent license) prior to entry into
the course or be in possession of a current TUITION & FEES
