Associate of Science in Nursing - Admissions & Fees
Admission Requirements
To apply and be considered for the Associate of Science in Nursing Program you must:
1. Complete and submit an application with $50 non-refundable fee. Make all checks payable to St. Joseph Hospital.
2. Provide three personal evaluations using the forms provided
3. Submit an official High School or GED transcript.
Applicants graduating from a non-US high school may need to have their transcript translated by the Center for Educational Documentation in Boston, MA Tel: 617-338-7171). This may be obtained from the Center for Educational Documentation at their web site www.cedevaluations.com or by contacting them at the address and phone number below:

4. Submit an official transcript from an accredited college showing completion of both a 3-credit Introduction to Sociology course and Microbiology course with a minimum final grade of 75 (C) within the past 5 years.
5. Take and pass the TEAS® (Version V) pre-entrance exam.
You must register and pay to take the TEAS® (Version V) pre-entrance exam online through www.atitesting.com. ATI will submit your registration information to the school. Only pre-registered applicants will be allowed to take the exam on scheduled dates.
For the ASN program please choose "St Joseph SON Nashua NH ADN"
6. All ESL applicants born outside the United States who apply for admission must take and pass The TOEFL ® Test - Test of English as a Foreign Language™ with a minimum score of 20 in both Speaking and Listening, 17 in Writing, 16 in Reading, and 73 overall. All test scores must be submitted to the Director, Academic Affairs, St. Joseph School of Nursing. The School of Nursing TOEFL code number is 1677. Applicants with scores below the minimum required may be referred to other academic institutions for evaluation of language skills proficiency and follow up recommendations.
Only upon receipt of all of the above required documents will your file be reviewed. If approved, you will be contacted to schedule an information exchange interview. Additional requirements will include:
1. Proof of US citizenship or legal US residency (birth certificate, passport, Alien Registration Card)
2. Medical and immunization forms completed by your physician stating no medical restrictions.
3. A Criminal History Background Check ($25) showing no felony convictions.
4. Official transcript from accredited college(s) if you are seeking credit approval for the following courses completed within the past five (5) years: English Composition, Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Life Span Development, Psychology. Please review information regarding transfer of college credits below.
5. Submission of a $100 non-refundable tuition deposit
6. Successful completion of the LPN to RN Transition course with a grade of 78 (C+) or better (LPN applicants only).
