St. Joseph School of Nursing programs reflect the healing mission of the Catholic Church and the philosophy of the Sisters of Charity of Montreal, “Grey Nuns”. St. Joseph Academic Center

St. Joseph School of Nursing registered nurse program was established as a diploma program in 1908 and continued until 1962. 

In 2005, a program leading to an Associate of Science in Nursing and eligibility to take the NCLEX-RN licensure examination was established. The program of education includes organized instruction in the scientific, cultural, spiritual and social aspects of nursing with correlated learning experiences.  The school offers a five- semester program in Nashua with an advanced placement course of study for licensed practical nurses.  Nursing career mobility opportunities are also provided.  

The ASN program has been granted temporary approval from the New Hampshire Postsecondary Education Commission and the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.

On May 5, 2007, the St. Joseph School of Nursing Associate of Science in Nursing program graduated its first class of 25 students. 

The commencement ceremony was held at Nashua High School North at 2 pm on Saturday for the inaugural Class of 2007.

These graduates are now eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensure exam.

The Practical Nursing Program, established in 1964, offers a diploma in practical nursing and eligibility to take the NCLEX-PN licensure examination.  This program is fully accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. and approved by the New Hampshire State Board of Nursing.

The practical nursing program of education includes organized instruction in the scientific, technical, spiritual and social aspects of nursing, with correlated learning experiences. The school offers the choice of a 4-semester program at its Nashua campus or a 3-semester accelerated program at its Keene campus. Nursing career mobility opportunities are also provided.

On April 29, 2007, the St. Joseph School of Nursing Practical Nursing program graduated 50 students. 

The commencement ceremony was held at Nashua High School - North Auditorium at 2:00 pm. 

Friends and family joined the Administration, Faculty, and Staff of St. Joseph School of Nursing in congratulating the graduates of the Practical Nursing Program Class of 2007.

These students are now eligible to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam.

Health Occupations programs offers a Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide program.  The program includes 90 hours of theory instruction and 90 hours of clinical instruction.

The Health Occupations Nursing Assistant program is approved by the New Hampshire State Board of Nursing.
