WELCOME

St. Joseph School of Nursing reflects the Mission of St. Joseph Hospital that promotes a healing ministry.  The School's mission is to provide education that fosters the growth of the individual personally, socially, and spiritually in order that they may carry on this healing ministry through service to others.

Open House: Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The Associate of Science in Nursing Degree Program, established in 2005, offers an associate of science degree in nursing and eligibility to take the NCLEX-RN licensure exam.  The program of education includes organized instruction in the scientific, cultural, spiritual and social aspects of nursing with correlated learning experiences.  The program offers either a two-year track or a one-year LPN to RN Transition track for licensed practical nurses.  Nursing career mobility opportunities are also provided.  

The ASN program is fully approved by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing This nursing education program is a candidate for accreditation by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission.

The Practical Nursing Program, established in 1964, offers a diploma in practical nursing and eligibility to take the NCLEX-PN licensure examination.  The program of education includes instruction in the scientific, cultural, technical, spiritual and social aspects of nursing with correlated learning experiences.  The practical nursing program has classrooms in Nashua and Keene.  Nursing career mobility opportunities are also provided. 

The Practical Nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. and fully approved by the New Hampshire State Board of Nursing.

The Health Occupations Program offers a Nursing Assistant course.  The course includes 54 hours of theory and 90 hours of clinical instruction. 

Also offered is a nursing assistant challenge course for qualified individuals.

The Health Occupations Nursing Assistant program is fully approved by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.

ACCREDITATION

St. Joseph School of Nursing is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).  The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
